Once summer’s over, what is there to do down the shore? Having once been a year-round resident of Wildwood, NJ, I can tell you there’s a LOT going on down there all the time, especially in the off season.
Moving toward the holidays, there are always different events: festivals, conventions, bonfires on the beach and even the annual Christmas tree lighting. One company, Stallion Marketing, decided to add a little something to the mix: Christmas on the Plaza.
Known for their food truck events and night markets, Stallion wanted to bring a little more Christmas spirit to The Wildwoods with a touch of deliciousness. One of the owner/operators approached me with an email that read, “Meesh, I need a logo.”
It was simple: “We’re bringing food trucks to Byrne Plaza, and we need a logo.” The idea was to deliver a typical Christmas feel with a bit of a Wildwood vibe. The first thing to come to mind were the giant beach balls in front of the iconic Wildwoods sign. But how could we use that? Simple! How about a Christmas tree, but instead of ornaments, we use the beach balls? Perfect.
This project was not done traditionally with days of sketching concepts, hours of client meetings, and weeks of development and refinement. No, this was a one-week process with concepts, chats, development, and final packaging happening all over email and texts.
The final selection was actually the bottom of the two pictured on the left, using the same concept with the beach balls being the ornaments, just a bit simplified.
You can check out all of Stallion Marketing’s upcoming events on their website, located here.
